Please donate to Evelina London and help children at St Thomas’s!

Tango on the Thames dances in one of the loveliest ballrooms in London, the Shepherd Hall overlooking the Thames in St Tomas’s Hospital.

Mindful of our good fortune, we are keen to give something back to St Thomas’s. Each year, we hold a Charity Milonga to raise money for Evelina London, who help care for children – but you can help them at any time of year!

According to their website:

“Evelina London was founded by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1869, following the tragic loss of his beloved wife Evelina and their baby. His selfless act of benevolence created a lifeline for some of the poorest and most vulnerable children in London.

“Today, we are here for the whole family, both as a children’s hospital and, uniquely, as part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. We care for babies before they are born and young people when they move on to our adult services. Families can be safe in the knowledge that expert care is on hand. Every day our dedicated teams fight to prevent tragedies such as that of Evelina de Rothschild. We change the lives of children and young people, caring for them as if they were our own. And we have not forgotten the importance of caring for children in our community. Working with our many partners we continue Baron de Rothschild’s legacy of love in ways we hope would make him proud.

“We are the Fundraising Team, working on behalf of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity to raise money for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
